Does the Swim Club at ASU make cuts?

No, but members should be able to swim at least 50 yards in one of the four strokes. Most of our members also have some previous swimming experience.

How much are dues and where does the money go?

Dues are paid at the beginning of each semester and are $210 for new members and $160 for returning members. Funds from dues go towards team suits and caps, apparel items, coaches' payments, facility costs, and subsidizing travel meets for athletes. 

Are practices mandatory?

Practices are not mandatory, but we encourage members to be as involved as possible!

Are meets required?

Meets are not required, but competing is a great way to support and get to know the team! We compete against other College Club Swimming teams at meets across the state, Western region, and country.

When are practices?

Our Fall 2024 practice schedule: 

Sunday: 4pm - 6pm at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex

Monday: 6pm - 8pm at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex

Wednesday: 6pm - 8pm at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex

Thursday: 7pm - 8:30pm at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center

Do you have to qualify for meets? 

Nationals is the only meet with qualifying standards!

Are Grad students allowed to join?

Yes! Participation in Sport Clubs at ASU is open to degree-seeking graduate students enrolled in at least three credit hours and undergraduate students enrolled in at least six credit hours and. All members must be in good academic and disciplinary standing.
